By day, I am a medical market researcher. So there is a lot of hardcore number crunching as well as meeting/talking to/advising people from the marketing teams at pharmaceutical companies.

By night (well any time when I am not at work), I try to 'balance myself out' and let my creative side out via photography and painting/drawing.

I started photography (or took more of an interest in it) after a Bill Brandt exhibition captured my imagination two years ago. Last year I took a year long course (city and guilds level 2) which taught me a lot of the basics and led to a few creative differences with my teacher!

I take my photos with either my Canon 350D or my little Canon Ixus 900.

My other big passion is travel (which combines rather well with photography). I have been lucky with work and my holidays to have been to some fantastic places (see map below). Egypt and the south island of New Zealand are next. Any suggestions of great photo opportunities/places to shoot will be much appreciated ... especially those that are off the beaten track, or a little random!
