I'm an over 60, outdoorsy person, i love mountains first and foremost but generally interested in anything natural on them, as i get older my body is starting to fall to bits, used to be able to walk 20 miles a day, now struggling to do 4, have severe problems walking on hard man made surfaces, long COVID sufferer, have to stop rest too often grr, everything I do now comes with a rest package included.

somedays i dress up as my alter ego Petra fluffy girl , fluffy since i can't abide cotton at times & have gained a love of fluffy fabrics such as angora, velvet & mohair, none of which are redily available in boys clothes so I wear girly stuff.

trouble is when i get in front of the camera i get carried away thinking what i'd like to see so flaunt myself to the camera, part wishing part teasing

As well as mountains i also love Old stuff, rocks, archaeology, history and as in most places the oldest buildings are churches though i'd class myself as pagan its all interesting.

Got my first camera when i was 7, a Kodak Instamatic 126 - i had it for years, square photos!!!

Another photographing friend gave me his old Practika 35mm SLR camera.

At some stage I aquired an Olympus XA but lost it a few years later!!

Before i went to K2 i bought a Riccoh KR10X because i was advised it would work better in extremes of temperature - we had a difference some days of 80 degrees centigrade i had no problems!!!. For most of my big holidays i took slide film & now have the problem of how to convert the photos to digital.

When i first came to Flickr my Riccoh was still in use but almost sadly now, I've gone digital - firstly my old fave, my Nokia N73. Then i bought a Fuji Finepix A920 but I've now sold it.

WoW had it 15 years and still learning to use all its myriad of functions, trouble is a lot of the buttons don't work anymore

If you are looking for things, i'm alphabetical, apart from collections which are a bit random but are a good way of starting to find what you're looking for - I've so many albums some collections are just one or two letters - the starting letters for the albums - its often how I search for my albums.

newer albums are a all over the place coz organiser seems to have stopped working.

Now only on the app so unless I visit the library can't access organiser or mail, struggling to get auto upload to work. (sept 2025)
