I got into photography back in 2005 when we were at the Greater Vancouver Zoo and my wife was helping out with the Radical Raptors show. I needed to find something to do and photographing the birds seemed like a cool thing to try. I bought a Canon Digital Rebel and a 70-300 lens and had at it. Man it is really hard to get good pictures of birds in flight. But I loved it.

I thank my friend Kim for inspiration and advice too.

And of course my lovely wife for allowing me the equipment. She's the one who bought me the Sigma and 24-105L lenses. What a gal!

I've continued on and am trying different subjects and I love it even more now.
