I am a Mechanical Engineer working in the power industry and photography gives me a chance to get into the great outdoors for a breath of fresh air and the chance to relax.

I can often be found walking along the Chesterfield Canal with my faithful black labrador, Jet, by my side. I adore the Peak District and everything it has to offer. I am fortunate to live 20 minutes away from some of the best views available. I also appreciate how beautiful this sceptered Isle of ours really is and am always trying to visit areas I have not yet explored.

I am trying to develop my photography skills and use Flickr as a source of inspiration. I love looking through the latest images and try to view Explore on a daily basis - I haven't made it on there yet, but who knows - maybe one day!!

Although I use Photoshop, I am limited to what I can do with it and am trying to learn how to use new tools and techniques. I welcome any advice on my images and editing techniques.

I appreciate all comments on my photos and always welcome criticism - as long as it is constructive. If you can't say anything nice or helpful - Don't Bother!!!

Please don't take offence if i don't reply to your comments or comment on all your images, sometimes I only get chance for a quick browse in between shifts although I may add your image as a favourite if I really like it.

I currently use a Canon 400D with various lenses including a Sigma 10-20mm (my new favourite lens) Canon 50mm, Canon 18-55mm kit lens, Tamron 55-200 and 70-300mm and various Cokin filters.

All images remain my property and any use of them requires my prior written permission.
