Hello and thank you for taking a look !
I've been learning about digital photography since 2003 when I bought my first camera, a Fujifilm FinePix S7000. It was an excellent camera on which to learn the basics. . the picture quality was great, especially in macro mode, but it was a battery juice guzzler!
Since Summer 2014 I have used a Canon EOS 600D. I'm happy with this camera and have a basic kit with a tripod and remote shutter release. I use a ND filter for long exposure shots in daylight and I'm saving up to buy a good macro lens.
I've bumbled about on Flickr since 2005. I've always found looking at other people's images really interesting and inspiring and I love the way that the Flickr members are praising and encouraging. I really appreciate positive feedback but also welcome gentle suggestions for improvement.
I enjoy and have been influenced by many different styles of photography. Because of that my own style is rather varied and includes macro nature, landscape, monochrome, digital art and travel photography
I'm trying to improve and learn all the time and have recently completed an online diploma in photography. I'm now doing a an online course in Photoshop.
I occasionally change old photos from public to private view to leave the most interesting 100 photographs on display in my photostream.
Thanks again for stopping by,
Suzanne Rowcliffe
P.S. By the way, a few people have asked if my name tag is connected to Leonard Cohen's poem 'Suzanne' who
"....takes you down to her place near the river
You can hear the boats go by
You can spend the night beside her
And you know that she's half crazy
But that's why you want to be there. ... "
It is! My parents named me after this poem/song as it was a favourite of theirs.
