Shawn Saumell was born in New York [1977] and currently lives and works in Dallas. He received an MFA from Lesley University College of Arts and Design fka The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, BFA from Texas Woman’s University, magna cum laude, and an AA from Collin College, cum laude.

 

He has had a recent solo exhibition at the Cohn Drennan Contemporary, Dallas, TX (2014); Boston Public Library, Boston, MA (2012); and recent juried exhibitions at the McKinney Avenue Contemporary, Dallas, TX (2014); PhotoPlace Gallery, Middlebury, VT (2014); One Arts Plaza, Dallas, TX; Museum of the Living Artist, San Diego, CA (2013); Kiernan Gallery, Lexington, VA (2013); A Smith Gallery, Johnson City, TX (2013); and the Craighead Green Gallery, Dallas, TX (2012); as well as recent group exhibitions at the University of Texas at Dallas, Richardson, TX (2014); Limner Gallery, Hudson, NY (2014); and f.i.g Fashion Industry Gallery, Dallas, TX (2014).
