The photo from the Cinder cone trail in Lassen Volcanic Park is one of my top favorites on flickr. The good ones learn from the best, the best ones learn from everyone. The wildlife captures are incredible and some of his other work (especially those planes) is so amazing that it deserves the highest accolades. I'd pay to see an exhibition.
