I pick up stray gloves and embroider on them, I turn odd socks into monsters, I cross stitch geeky things into antique-style samplers. I garden public land without permission, I cuss at my sewing machine, and confuse my children with fake science. I like folk & "world" music (I'm married to a morris dancing bagpipe player ,so it's just as well), Japanese and French animation, artisan chocolate (who doesn't?), children's rights, and tea.
