I am a 50-something lawyer, but my real interest is in aesthetics. I like art--from the analytical point of view. As an undergraduate, I studied English and most enjoyed literary criticism. I also developed an interest in the analysis of humor. And when I became interested in stereoscopic (3-D) photography, I really wanted to understand how it works and what its potential is from an aesthetic standpoint.

I also like history and have recently combined my interests by shooting a lot of photography at historic sites: French and Indian War reenactments, the C & O Canal, etc.
