I started taking pictures as a teenager, learned how to work in a darkroom from a pro, almost pursued a career in photography, but got sidetracked by travel, teaching, politics, family, and work.

I took pictures throughout my life, but mainly of family, vacations, and voyages. My last job took me to the wonderful and interesting places you can see reflected in my photostream.

Now, I am retired. I ride my racing bike more than 10,000 km a year, and spend the rest of my free time getting more serious about photography again.

My current equipment is the Canon EOS 400. I use the the 18-55mm EFS lens, and also a Canon EF 50mm f1.4 and the 50-200mm EF lens.
