I study Nebraska's nature, history, architecture and weather as a hobby. I take most photos to document and preserve a unique moment, scene or object.
Taking photos and sharing pictures allows us to work at our own pace. I think our minds process memories in still images. When I look at my photos I can usually remember exactly where I was and what the circumstances were at the moment the image was captured.
I use a Nikon D50 and D100, but I'm not a Nikon advocate. Most of my photos are taken with a standard lens and I always focus manually. The close-ups / macros are with a 105 mm 1:1 Vivitar lens.
I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I enjoyed capturing them.
PLEASE NOTE: I'm not very good about commenting or adding favorites. And if I do comment or critique the photos of others it is because I either saw something great or something that could be made better. My own improvements are the result of a good critique.
