I joined Flickr back in 2009 and, after an initial flurry of activity, neglected the site. I was encouraged by friends to submit my shots to Paint My Photo where artists would create work from them. I have been doing this since around 2011 and am pleased to report over 500 pieces of art based on, or using, my photos for inspiration. That is really fulfilling, seeing art created from my photos, the good and, well, not so. The power of good artwork is to create something even if it is from only the potential within that original image, imperfect as it may be.

I am an amateur with decent kit, grabbing most of my shots as and when we go away on holiday or for day trips. Usually, I am trailing my wife and/or friends by a goodly distance, jogging to catch up (keeps me fit at least). As you will see, I am a generalist - pretty much anything catches my eye, although our ferret friends do feature strongly. Looking at some of my early uploads and exploring other pages, I really need to cull and/or re-visit my contributions. Anyway, I hope you enjoy browsing...
