I first became interested in brickmakers when I came across a "Dinnington" brick whilst out walking in South Yorkshire. Some time afterwards it occurred to me that these named bricks represented disappearing local history and photographing them for the benefit of future interest became an obsession.

Sadly Frank (aka Old Frechevillian) passed away in September 2020. This site is now maintained by Franks family.
