I have now been a member of Flickr for around 6 months and when I first stumbled accross Duane's photostream and saw the quality of his work and the sheer volume of his admirers, I thought, there is no way this guy is going to be interested in or indeed, have the time to comment on my work, but I flagged him as a contact just so I could see his new posts. To my pleasant surprise, Duane always makes time and always takes an interest and always properly comments on your photographs, because he is a gentleman, genuine and sincere - a dying breed! Duane is a perfectionist and very critical of his own work, and thus he always delivers high quality, straight forward and honest photography, that is a pleasure to view - delivered without any fancy gimicks and true to what he sees and feels. Duane, it is a pleasure to know you. Keep on posting my friend and thank you for the inspiration through your work and for all your kind support. Andy

Duane is a dear friend and very talented photographer! What makes the difference from other photographers is his sterling character, sensitive heart and passion for quality photography! It is true that we can read others character and sensitivity to truth and beauty from his photos, for they are like x-rays of the inner feelings and inner world of a person! He is so gentle that you feel that you know him and that you are friends with him through the ages! Photography for me is a way to express the inner and outer beauty that exists in abundance around us and awaken that beauty to all, for it exists inside ourselves. By looking at the outside beauty, our inner beauty awakens in the form of truth, light, kindness, goodness, joy, purity, love, wisdom, sacrifice ..... I am not good at writing testimonials at all! There are a lots of good photographers on flickr it is just so hard for me to work out where to start. So, why have I chosen to write one about Duane's work? Quite simply it is his individualistic style. Duane has an amazing talent as well as his great enthusiasm of photography! People can clearly see and he has improved his work along the way as I have too. His work is very poetic with a dreamy feel to it, which is my favorite type of photography. I also admire Duane's ability to put words to images, which has helped me to experience both my and others’ photographs in expanded ways. I always look forward to his new work. With my best wishes! You know...it's not too often that you come across someone like Duane. He's a very generous, honest, humble and talented guy...quite a combination. Always more than willing to offer his opinions freely and very supportive to other photographers and friends alike. Like most of us on Flickr, Duane is always striving to improve technically with his art and is very passionate in this persuit. Sometimes a little over-critical about his own work, but aren't we all!
