Since I was at school I have loved photography - My first SLR was a Praktica (either Zenit or Praktica in those days for poor hard up schoolboys!) and I soon started doing my own B&W developing in the school darkroom and at home - learning to dodge and burn. I continued moving to colour slides and have boxes in the loft, I'm sure fading and warping.

I then discovered video and sadly it all but stopped me taking still photos until I bought my first fuji digital (? less than I megapixel). Several compact canons since I bought my first digital SLR - canon 350d and then moved up to a 40d and now a 7d. All the old joys of the darkroom came back but the time is now spent in front of the computer till the early hours - being accused of being antisocial by my partner!!!

Flickr is a great way of giving myself a bit of a challenge and getting constructive criticism from you the photographers out there who have more experience or a 'better eye'.

I like all photographs and experiment a lot but I have a real passion for B&W - which probably is because of those years ago as a school kid.

Current kit includes Canon R5 and 5D mkiv . Canon EF 100-400mm L, canon EF 24-105mm L, Canon EF L 100mm macro, Canon EF 50mm fixed f1.4, Tamron 28-300mm, Canon EF100mm macroL, Canon RF 24-240mm, Canon R Canon speedlite 580EX II, kenko 1.4x converter, Polaroid extension tubes and manfrotto 190XPROB with 327 RC2 head. In the car I always carry my Canon Popwershot G1 and also play with the Iphone.....

I use Photoshop at the moment - Canon DPP raw convereter and also occasionally Lightroom software.
