Now in my mid 50's, my passions are photography, water color, and acrylic, mixed media painting. I love the old and some of the new cars, trucks cycles. The old ones have a hold on my heart though, due to I get to see them come in in their pre restoration form and go out looking like a new car in my husbands business, Seppala's Body Shop & Restoration. Other interests include flower and vegetable gardening which you will see in my gallery.

I have been reading the methods of Ansel Adams, Tom Ang, Scott Kelby, and MeRa Koh in books and on line, as well have taken the Sony camera classes. (no longer available) Reading their books has increased knowledge and how to go after and get the pro shots and by increasing my confidence. From the comments I have received it is starting to pay off, and my work has improved they have told me.

What's in my camera bag?

Using a updated Sony A500, and A77a with my favorite four lenses.

Minolta 50mm f2.8 macro and 50mm f2.8 normal.

Sony DT35mm f1.8, DT 70-250mm, .

Reading and using The Missing Manual for Photoshpop 10 and learning to use Photoshop slowly, while also working with windows, Picasa and a few new app for cpu's on photo editing as well. Love the Picasa format. So, in the mean time you may have to bare with me on the learning curve for all of this.

There is so much more to learn, and with a little bit at a time I will get there eventually. As in Life, it takes time for the good stuff, and which the best part in getting there...Learning something new. That is why I enjoy Photography so much.

You may need to know, I love the vintage, classic, autos. I may bet a simple country girl, but she understands all too well that less is more in life. Many times my photography shows this. With interests in the arts of Impression, Contemporary, old and new Architecture, Macro, nature, and landscapes. A long time ago advice was given to me, shot what you know, and it will serve you well, just like a writer. Practice makes you better at what ever you put your mind to. Photography is no different. So that is what you will see here.

In closing, My Grandmother Fletcher told me something once. She said "Keep learning everyday, do not let your education go. And I am not meaning only in school. Remember, learn from the young and the old. Learn from their Critiques, Compliments, and some nudging in the right direction. It goes a along way in the school of life. It makes you a better person, and a better artist." Thanks Grandma... and everyone else who gives me critiques too. As always they are very much appreciated.
