I like to photograph the natural world as I find it. This usually ends up being landscapes, buildings, animals, and plants.
They are much easier to manage than people. :)
I like to use advanced camera "tricks" and cool software to make my photos as detailed as they can possibly be. This generally involves HDR bracketing, but I've also been experimenting with "stacks" of the same scene shot many times the same way. This allows you to average all these images together to reduce noise to almost nothing.
I love CHDK on a Canon Powershot. It turns a cheap Powershot into the greatest digital camera ever made when it comes to flexibility in shooting. They still have the crappy CCD compared to a dSLR.
Most of my shots up here on flickr are shot with a Canon Digital Rebel XTi. I have recently decided to downsize and only use Canon Powershots with CHDK.
