Avid amateur photographer. Both my wife and myself appreciate the beauty of photography and the fact that through it we freeze a moment in time. Something to reflect on.....something to wonder at......and something to cherish and share with others.

Had a previous account with flickr......but due to time constraints we were unable to be as involved in the groups we had joined and felt we were neglecting the wonderful friends we were sharing with at the time.

But we're back.....and as such we will endeavour to reply and comment to all those who we meet on our journey. We also intend to re-post some of our previous pics as well as recent and future shots. Any tips or hints will be greatly appreciated.

Interested in all forms of photography.....especially nature pics, landscapes, animals, portraits especially b&w, and photo art.

Unfortunately those without any profile....we will probably ignore......sorry.

Oh and we are both over 18......quite a few years ago!

More than thirty four years ago actually.....lol.

Now for the record......we are here to have some fun but we are also here to learn as much as we can from others about photography.

All aspects such as how best to compose shots....cropping...macro work.....focus balance and exposure.

Those that read our profile and look at our shots will realise that lighting and tones are something we are striving to develop.Our time here on flickr has been very rewarding as we have received hints and tips from people who's posts we find exceptionally good.

Also some of the comments we receive are often filled with suggestions and compliments. We don't mind constructive criticism as we may in fact learn from the advice.

I have to say that since sharing our shots and going out to do photo shoots.....Julie has in fact taken more interest in carrying a camera as well or grabbing our SLR and taking some frames.....something which I'm very proud about.

As you will see from our posts we have a varied display of wildlife, landscapes and shots of us and our pets etc.

We think there is fun to be had here.....some of the expressions and compositions we have seen.....especially animals and pets.....really have given us a chuckle.

We know that at times it's hard to express points of view in just a few lines and we ourselves have written things then wondered....."will our sense of humour or Aust thinking put this into a different context?" We value the people we have met and share with.....and certainly admire the photographic skills we have seen.
