Thank you to the women of Female Self-Portrait Artists' Support Group and the beautiful book they published for inspiring me to start this self-portrait project. I've always liked the idea of keeping a journal but was never motivated enough to do all that writing... so, if a picture is worth a thousand words, maybe this will work for me instead.

When I'm being lazy (a lot of the time) I use my Canon Power Shot. When I'm attempting to be creative, I haul out the Digital Rebel XT.

I do not use Photoshop so most of my shots are SOOC - with the exception of a little cropping from time to time. Maybe that makes them a little less interesting to look at, but I like how it challenges me to become a better technical photographer -- slowly I am learning to use my camera's fun manual settings and pay more attention to composition.
