I'm a scientist who works to understand the neural components of movement. I also love art, photography and scuba diving. I'm active in doing quite, charitable works, mostly as a Unitarian Universalist. The science of perception, though not a primary focus of my day to day work, is what draws me to the art I produce. The philosophy of perception does likewise. What is perceived to be seen comes from much more than light entering the retina.
