I'm a retired game developer that currently works for a major cable and internet service provider as a technical lead.
My gaming career first began when Capcom USA purchased the Yellow Brick Road Family Amusement Center chain here in San Diego that I had worked at for a number of years. It was then that I was introduced to the VP of Capcom USA and after going over some of my ideas I was offered a job working at their Santa Clara office with a small group of 4 others. We essentially comprised the first original development team at Capcom USA back in the early 90's. Initially we started off handling localization for the US market, but gradually we began to get our actual ideas into the games Capcom was making (including a number of the original Street Fighter 2 coin-op games). I myself had a hand in T. Hawk's development (I named him in fact, check Wiki for more details) while my close friend James Goddard created DeeJay. Eventually 3 of our original group (myself, James Goddard, and Dave Winstead) left Capcom, but continued to work together through 3 other companies until I eventually split off and ended up at Angel Studios which was the last company I worked for before retiring.
During my career I worked in various aspects of development including production, game design, and QA management. Companies I've worked for include Capcom USA, Atari Games Corp, Interactive Light, and Angel Studios (now Rockstar San Diego).
