I'm a retired snivil servant, a stroke surviver and a photographer.

I shoot a lot of events, including a lot of my musician friends, public events like the Dragon Boat races, and the outdoor Jazz Festival performances. I also shoot a lot of scenic landscape images from skiing, boating and hiking. I have done a lot of portrait work and art photography over the years.

One thing I really love to do is work in low light. My new main camera is a Nikon Z6ii. This camera shoots in stupid low light and creates 24.5 megapixel images! When coupled with my favorite lens, my main working lens for event photography is a Z24-120 f4, I sacrificed an f stop for the wide range. For even wider range and as my walk about daylight lens I use a 28=300 f3.5-f5.6 with a FTZii adapter.

My current favourite lens is a Z40 mm f2, super light and super sharp.

Many of my photographs are taken on and around Vancouver's amazing Pacific Spirit Regional Park which includes Canada's best established Clothing Optional Beach, Wreck Beach.
