I am a climber but not much of a photographer. (The problem being that several of the friends that accompany me on my travels have always been “the camera guy”, so I just get stuck with the tent.) I do have a great passion for the outdoors and people who enjoy it. I also love to travel, eat great food, and drink great wine – all of which get in the way of a camera budget!

I mostly use Flickr to post private pictures to family and friends, but I will try and increase the stuff I make public.

I am truly at peace when I am in the mountains; when the noise of life and people is replaced by the wind or rushing water. I find that the pictures I am draw to, both on this site and those I capture, have some of that quality - a stillness not found in frenetic pace of normal life, but rather a placid dawn, or the alpenglow off the ridge, or a quit smile of a caring person.
