A 40 something who has always liked the idea of taking great shots. My first camera was given to me by my dad, a Yashica MG-1, I was gutted initially as it wasn't an SLR like his. However the old man was right, it was a cracking camera and i got some great pictures with it. For my 18th he gave me a Minolta X-700, what a great piece of kit absolutely loved it. In the early 90's i was seduced by a canon 1000FN and traded in the X-700 (one of life's regretted moves!). That got traded in for a camcorder, what a mistake. From this point i've longed for another good camera. Dad stepped in again a year and a half ago and gave me a G9, great camera! But still i longed for a DSLR and now I'm complete I started a relationship with a 50D last Sunday. Happy!
