Dear Flickr-friend,
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
It would be super arrogant of me to even think that I am a photographer. I just love nature and prefer camping, the open veld, fresh air, endless horizons and wildlife.
The joy of photography for me is not only immensely rewarding in itself, but also the "thrill of the hunt" . A fantastic sense of achievement follows when you have successfully captured a little of nature's wonder. And half the fun is in tracking down the subject.
Fact is I'm hooked !
I hope you enjoy my work, and see true passion behind each image.

She has a big heart, especially for South African animals. And I have the feeling, that all animals of South Africa come to her and show their best side. Waiting patiently until she has taken a wonderful photo of them.

We have never met Elsie(but we're sure that this would be a wonderfull experience).Although she modestly says that she does not consider herself to be a "photographer"then what chance for the rest of us.Yes,she is in a wonderfull part of the world for wildlife photography. But this isn't,as most of us know, being in the right spot at the right time with an auto camera. She has a feeling for the natural world, both scenic, verbal and photographic, that we can only admire. Our particular favourite was of the Klipspringer on the kopje. Not the most colourfull or glamourous of Elsie's many wonderfull photos. But to us this shot completely epitomised the life style of this animal. We can only suggest that should she want the intrusion, she should start a business taking photographic safaris into her favourite areas.Judging by her followers on flickr, were sure she would have no shortage of customers.
