I love photography, macro and close up in particular, and I am a great lover of nature, most of all lepidoptera, which I enjoy rearing at home as well as seeing in its natural environment. I am an occasional photographer of civil aviation also. With all aspects of taking pictures, I still have a lot to learn, and that is one of the main reasons that I appreciate other Flickr users' comments and encouragement. There are so many inspiring talents here on this website and I'm always hopeful of learning from them.

Please do not post glittery graphics, generic comments/awards or links to other webpages in comment boxes for my photos, as they will be deleted. In addition, please refrain from following me, or adding any of my photos as your favourites, or to galleries, if you have an empty photostream, or you will be blocked. Also, for quite a while now, I've noticed that a fair few members of this website have been adding lots of my images to their favourites. I believe that, in the spirit of flickr, it is reasonable to assume that, if lots of one's photos are part of some one's favourites collection, then at least some of those pictures would be worth commenting upon. I have therefore decided to block also any person who does nothing but click the favourite button.
