Native Californian -- now living in Arizona -- who inherited thousands of photos spanning the entire 20th century and beyond (on both ends).

And then there are my own photos, especially recent ones after getting back into photography again after a couple decades off. It's fun to experiment (and so much easier/cheaper without having to pay for film, processing, prints).

I love taking photos of flowers... but don't know the names of even 1/10 of what I see. Information/ideas/corrections welcome!

Note: I'm not a photographer. I love photography, and sometimes get decent shots - or even just pictures I happen to like. ;-) Things posted here include interesting things that showed up in front of my camera, brilliant subject matter captured with less-than-stellar photography, and old family pix I have scanned in.

And while constructive criticism is cool, I am definitely not going to be requesting critiques anytime soon. :D
