That quote sums up my attitude on photography. I have worked professionally but photography is mainly a hobby now. I first developed and printed a roll of film in 1972. Seeing a print emerge in the developer tray is what hooked me for to photography for life. Although I often shoot digital, my first love is film. I enjoy shooting and developing film (b&w), manual focus, rangefinder cameras, handheld metering, and seeing other peoples photos here on flickr. My favorite photographers are W. Eugene Smith, Robert Frank, Elliott Erwitt, Neil Leifer, Garry Winogrand, and Vivian Maier.
