What’s up with the name?

Well, as a wee boy, I used to trek over tall mountains to a small village, and bring home a freshly butchered chicken so my family....

No, actually, anyone who’s ever spent time in the outer boroughs is familiar with the poultry markets where you can buy a (supposedly) fresh bird for dinner. We’ve had the pleasure of living near two of them in our 15 years in Greenpoint and Red Hook, and the perfume is unforgettable, hence the name.
