I am Nayeema, a freelance photographer currently residing in Oakville, Ontario. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, I worked for 15 years in the advertising industry, working my way up from Copywriter to Creative Director. My passion for reading novels and poetry came in handy in my professional life. I was always interested in people, in their stories, and in using words and images to express people’s emotions. Four years ago, I quit my job to become a full time mom and pursue my passion in photography. To me, photography is all about creating memories by freezing the memorable “split seconds” in our lives. In this page you will see some of the split seconds captured by me.

I keep on experimenting with my camera and learning new things every single day. Currently, I’m using a Nikon D90 with 18-105mm lens and 50mm f/1.4D lens. I also use Raynox DCR-250 Macro conversion lens for macro photography. I love taking portraits and landscapes. I also try out street and conceptual photography once in a while, as well as abstracts. I love visiting and taking pictures of old palaces and mansions, with their interesting architectural designs and vivid colours.
