edit: I've moved to Utah, but I'm still dreaming of the Pacific Northwest.

There is beauty everywhere and in everything. Open your eyes and heart and you'll see it.

Being able to capture that beauty - regardless of the geographic location or situation - in a picture is something that I try to do. The difficulty is in the translation and portrayal, everyone perceives things differently.

When what I have seen or felt at a particular moment or place is transparent in the pictures I take I have then accomplished something I need to do, and what we all strive to do every day, to communicate, and to be heard and understood. Until then I will keep trying and learning.

I love everything about photography.

I own a Panasonic dmc fz35, and it is/has been an awesome camera to take pictures with, esp. when traveling, but am hoping to purchase a dSLR soon!

After much penny pinching, saving, more saving, and a little savvy business dealing ;0) I managed to obtain a Nikon d7000 and the 50mm 1.8D AF, 55mm-200mm VR lenses. I'm having a blast with it, image quality is on a whole different plane when compared with my dear fz35.
