I grew up four blocks from the Milwaukee Road main line in Sabula,IA. I remember noticing the trains crossing the viaduct on the south end of town from the sidewalk in front of my house when I was probably only 4 years old and wondering where they were going. I didn't get serious about railfanning until about 1980. My early pictures were shot with a $14 Kodak 110 camera, accounting for the poor quality of the prints. In 1983 I got an SLR but I still shot prints instead of slides. If I only knew better then... Now I've got a DSLR so I can share high quality shots immediately. Ain't progress great!
