I like to make things, because it is about reaching beyond yourself as much as it is reaching into yourself. To make something is to contribute, and to contribute is to have hope for the future. I like making things that describe me to the world while describing the world to me.

I think its interesting the way art, design, and decoration describe and give weight to what is intangible. I love the constant flux in these mediums and how history charts these changes. How through them we can attempt to understand those that came before us.

I make art because it is a positive influence in my life that helps me to forget the things that make me afraid, or anxious. What seems like a mere diversion or distraction is in fact a crucial tool for communication, and one of three major elements that make it possible to wake up, and continue.
