I am born in Leeuwarden (the Netherlands) on 12 December 1968.

I am married and have two children.

I started photographing, thanks to my friend Verte Ruelle (www.flickr.com/photos/vertruelle/) in 2006.

I've been working for the Netherlands ministry of Foreign Affairs, since 1991 and have been posted in Belgium, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Russia, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Colombia. In these countries I had the opportunity to travel and therefor see more than the average tourist.

As from July 2015 I will quit working for the Dutch government and migrate with my family to Indonesia.

I hope, once settled, to be able to learn more about photographing and travel through Asia and Oceania to capture these beautiful continents on camera.

My favorite subjects are my wife and kids, people, landscapes, streetshots and beautiful sunset sceneries.

I like the contacts that I have. With some of them I have a very nice friendship.
