I have been birding ever since my fifth grade teacher brought me out on bird walks every Wednesday in the spring before school when I was in third grade. Now I've been birding for about seven years and have enjoyed every second of it rain or shine, southeastern Arizona or the National Mall. My favorite part about birding, that doesn't have to do with birds, is the places I go; side trips on vacations or birding vacations themselves always bring me new, really cool, places that I never would have visited for any other reason.

Now I am part of the Northern Virginia Teen Bird Club and the young birders' club of Bern, Switzerland (I am currently taking part in an exchange in Switzerland).
