I am 38 and my son is 6.

I'm interested in older generation lifts, especially creepy ones and 'ones that should have been modernised ages ago!'

Not really into the latest 'motor room less' lifts like the Otis gen2 or Kone EcoDisc - they all seem to ride the same and do not have the personalities that the older ones do.

The motor rooms of the lifts I am talking about are generally relay driven, as microprocessors were not commonplace then. It's facinating to see how the logic of "which lifts handle which calls" can be achieved when a computer isn't involved - this generally involved cabinets full of relays!
