I am a professional photographer who has Apserger's and a son with Autism. Having had the opportunity and ability to create art that could be used for something good and dear to me, I created Sexy Backs.

Mid September 2007 his youngest child Tyler, at the age of 4, was diagnosed with Autism. I wanted to do what he could to support Tyler and his mum Shana! I want Sexy Backs to bring attention to, and generate discussion about Autistic Spectrum Disorders such as Autism and Asperger's. People on Autistic Spectrum are all individuals, and as he was once told "Once you have met one person with Autism, you have met one person with Autism!"

Its all about awareness, inspiring those who see our images, or read the text, to learn more about Autism! We want you to tell others about Sexy Backs, and to support those on the Autistic Spectrum.

The Sexy Backs Concept

The concept for "Sexy Backs" is to produce simple Black & White portraits, showing naked backs, something we all have, something that is cheeky, fun, and where sex, age, race, or autism was irrelevant. As a people photographer James wants to focus on the essence, the "i am me!" we all have! :)
