Steve Whiteley. Been snapping away since 1968 when I got my first Kodak Instamatic. Over the years, I used a Zorki 4K, a Chinon CM1 and an Olympus OM2; my first AF film camera was a Canon EOS5. I'm now enjoying the possibilities of digital photography and trying to polish up my act! After joining my local camera club, during the pandemic (initially, 'virtually') I have been inspired to push myself, trying new techniques and improving the quality of what I do. My earlier photos were mostly taken on Lumix kit (G9 and GX9 and occasionally Olympus OMD-1) but more recently, I have been using Canon R6 & R7 - and a Lumix GX9 or Fujifilm X100VI for walk-around photography. I've got a particular interest in birds but also enjoy any wildlife, flowers, fungi, insects and so on. I also enjoy street photography and have experimented with small model people on food and household objects. For some reason, my mono prints seem to do best in club competitions in everything except wildlife. Until recently, my processing was mostly done in DXO Photolab and Nik Collection although I have recently been learning to use Photoshop.
