Hi. Thanks so much for your interest in my photostream. I’d be grateful for any comments, suggestions, or the like. I hope you enjoy!
About me ... Now that my career doing finance-related work has ended, I'm indulging creative compulsions, primarily photography for now. And to my surprise, I enjoy the challenge of digitally enhancing/manipulating the images as much as taking them. My primary camera is currently a Nikon Z-5. Adobe and Topaz products are my primary editing tools. Currently, I’m trying to find styles that I like and working to do less heavy-handed editing.
As you’ll see in my photostream, my efforts span a wide spectrum of topics and “styles” from photographic to graphic. For now, I like experimenting with images and using various filters/techniques to obtain a painterly look, applying vintage/retro/gritty textures to images, and creating graphic collages.

You have to find the courage to dare. Creativity is in there. You just need to take the leap. Things don't always work out the first time. But the creative image comes from the mind and follows a path that must be channeled into a project. Once you've rolled the die, you never go back. Cut the cord that binds you to traditional and documentary photography. Study contemporary art from the early 1900s, go to exhibitions and museums. Look at the artistic currents from 1950 to it and get inspired. Reread what you see and interpret. Do not be afraid. Satisfaction is around the corner and you can say that you have achieved your stylistic code. Good luck. Gabriele
