I am a beginning photographer who is learning as I go and that includes the editing process. I am lucky that I have has some minor web site development experience so that has helped me in learning the editing end of this wonderful adventure.

This past year has been a difficult one as I am missing my biological mom, my father,my niece, and my sister, who all passed away this past year. I haven't picked up my camera as much these past few months because some days It's been hard to see the beauty around me.

I have lived in 3 provinces in Canada...Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan.

Most of my growing years were spent in Northwestern Ontario. During my high school to adult years I have lived in Manitoba but mostly in Saskatchewan. I was adopted into a Scottish family and learned many fascinating things about Scotland and the highland clans. My birth ancestry on my mother's side is Prairie Ojibway (Saulteux) and on my father's side Portuguese. Half of my ancestry has been in North America forever and the other half is newly immigrated to Canada. I have 2 children and four grandchildren and they are the ones who often end up being my photo subjects.My grand kids love to be photographed!!

I would like to think that I have the heart and soul of a poet and artist but I realize I am but a speck of sand on the beach of creativity.

But maybe, just maybe I'm the sparkle in the sand that caught your eye when the sun hit ..just at the right moment.
