I enjoy photography immensely. I use a Nikon D80 at present with either an 18-135 lens or a 70-300VR lens. Back in the days of film I used an Olympus OM-1n. I prefer Nikon but am not one of those snobs that thinks the camera gear makes the photograph. To me, photography is 80% mental, 15% lighting, and 5% camera gear.
Update: I just added a Sigma 150-500 OS lens for long distance. Also got Lightroom for post processing but have not used it very much.
Newer update: I have added a Sigma 10-20 and a Nikon D300s body.
Even newer update: I have a Nikon 18-105 VR that replaces the destroyed 18-135.
Shooting planes and nature is my first inclination and taking pictures of people is the most challenging part of photography. I prefer a minimal amount of PP; however Photoshop Elements 7 is good for cropping, shadow adjustment, and balancing overall light values. I am lucky if I like even 10% of what I shoot.
Sadly, I do not have pro glass so my pictures do not represent professional quality. They are me enjoying photography.
I am a huge fan of Arsenal but I enjoy just about any Premier League football match. Except Chelsea of course. Also quietly keep hoping Huddersfield Town does well. I long to return to England and see at least one more football match before I die. As long as it is not Chelsea, of course.
I am not here to change the world. I can't even change myself.
