I first met Nye at the gym about a year or so ago and during casual conversation I learnt that he had just returned from a trip to Scotland and that he ad taken some images he was pleased with. I mentioned that I too was very much into photography and asked him if belonged any of the camera clubs in the Hull area, to which he sad he did not but did say that he has a lot of his images on Flickr. When I got home I viewed his images on Flickr and had to say that I was immediately impressed by the high standard of his photography. The next time I saw him at the gym, I told him how much I liked his work and invited him to visit Brooklands photographic society based at Sutton-on-Hull as my guest. Fortunately, there was a vacancy for membership at the time and I am happy to say he is now a member. Myself and Nye have, on a number of occasions, been out on several outings together, such as photographing steampunks, the firework display to mark Hull becoming the 2017 city of culture, the laser light display in Queen Victoria square Hull and other places. Images from our various outings are on our Flickr photostreams. I find working alongside of Nye to be a pleasure inspirational. I would care to think that we have offered each other several little tips and advice on various points and I hope that we can enjoy many more outings in the future. Thank you my friend
