Hello to new friends!

Since turning 40, I have been allowing myself to claim my artist's soul. I don't know why people say 40 is over the hill, for me it is rebirth. Leaving behind another lifetime or 2, finally having the wisdom and courage to unleash myself from compromise and conformity. To allow myself to shine authentically without fear.

Reclaiming my love of mixed media art, jewelry and photography, slowly posting my own creative explorations.

I love beauty, design, color, texture, line, composition and being inspired by others' amazing creations and divine expressions.

I am a blossoming metalsmith and jewelry designer, I've collected stones and crystals for over 10 years -- they are magic, beauty and light, and connect me to both earth and sky. Gentle, patient teachers and healers. Metal is alive too, and watching metal transform under my hands to house a stone, to be worn, is a process I love more than anything in the world. Magic and light spark love :) Saving for jewelry tools at the moment, but my sketchbooks fill with ideas...

I've also become an obsessive shutterbug, and treated myself several years ago to a digital SLR, which I adore. Been experimenting with encaustic photocollage, which I will be sharing soon!!!

and I've discovered the magic of fountain pens and the incredible array of inks! such an incredible world! now just to make time for all my new obsessions blossoming into being :)
