I started birdwatching at 12 years old. Growing up near Tulelake, California, it was a natural hobby to start. I started taking pictures a few years before that. I got my mothers old hand-me-down Brownie. It was so worn that I had to wind the film with a screwdriver.

I've been taking photos seriously for about 30 years and have had one magazine cover of a big-horned sheep.

Please feel free to use a small version of any of my photos on your blog or website as long as you link back to one of my Flickr pages. Any other use is by permission only.

Now, I take mostly bird pictures with my Canon 70D.

Here are a few of the ones I think turned out best:

I'm working on a website now with a goal of illustrating every bird species at birdsoftheworldonline.com. If you would be willing to allow me to use a small version of your bird photos with a link back to that photo as well as a link to your photostream, send me a flickrmail. Thanks!
