I was born and raised in Saskatchewan, North Portal and Regina. Moved to Calgary and attended the UofC where I earned a BSc degree in geology. It was at university that my love of the mountains, skiing and hiking, and photographing grew. I started with a Pentax K1000 -it stills works even though it has been carried a lot of miles over a lot of years. I moved into teaching and moved to Sundre where I have taught for 30 years. My passion for photography cooled and my photography was limited to kids and holidays. I received a Pentax Optio as my first intro to digital. Slowly my passion resurfaced as I began to record my fishing trips with the water proof digital. With the purchase of a Pentax DSLR and photoshop my return to photography has been complete. As I near retirement I am so glad I have rediscovered photography. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of my images as I do.
