I'm a mathematician (which you probably can't tell from my photostream) who loves the outdoors (which I think you can). I've never done photography seriously, but I'm having a good time seeing what I can come up with here. So if you see a shot that seems, well, pretentious or something, please don't take it that way -- I'm just playing around; it's an experiment. Let me know if you think it worked or not.

(Along these lines: I went ahead and got the "Pro" account because I was tired of digging through my photostream to see what I didn't mind if it disappeared every time I uploaded some photos. Also I want to see the stats, out of general geekiness. It doesn't mean I think I'm a "Pro" or anything like that.)

I'd like to put in a plug for geotagging here. For portraits and abstracts it doesn't really matter, but when I see a beautiful nature shot, especially a landscape, I'd really like to know where it is! (If you see a picture of mine that isn't geotagged, it's probably because it would reveal where I or someone else lives.)
