I recently became the music teacher at a secondary school, after being a primary (elementary) school teacher for 20 years. I began photography in my late teens & after about 15 years the camera more or less "expired". I had a Pentax slr with telephoto zoom & wide angle lenses. It was only 2 years ago I picked it back up again, my biggest dilemma was whether to go digital or not, I went for it & am very pleased.

I began a photography club at the school, encouraging would be photographers to learn from & encourage each other. There is one outstanding student who does amazing work for someone who has not been in it for too long.

The photography club will be putting out a souvenir calendar this year which will coincide with the school's 50th anniversary. The students were given the challenge of selecting pictures & designing the calendar, to which I must say they have done a fantastic job.

I welcome comments about the pictures, as I have seen so many beautiful pictures from members, I am impressed & am encouraged.
