In my forties, I've got a passion for almost anything old and mechanical, but particularly vintage Land Rovers, one of which was my first car way back in 1978. A 1952 model 80", I still own it although the 1950 80" shown in the photoset was sold to another enthusiast in November 2009, to make way for the 1953 Standard Vanguard, a rolling restoration project which the whole family can enjoy.
My wife Val and I have been married for over 20 years and have a teenaged son.
We have renewed our love of 1950s rock and roll, Val is unable to dance but Rich and myself have been attending jive classes for some time - we all enjoy monthly dances in Melksham where there is an active rock and roll club (www.melkshamrockandroll.co.uk).
January 2010: I will be uploading a series of photographs taken by my parents in the 1950s and 60s, starting with some of the cars and motorcycles which they owned.
October 2010 Over 3,000 views! Thanks to everyone who has favourited, commented and viewed the photos.
January 2011: If you favourite a photograph, please tell me why you like it - thanks.
July 2011: No longer in my forties, I celebrated my half century with a party to remember - thanks to family and friends for making it an evening to remember. Not forgetting The Bourbon Boys who played some great rock and roll for us to dance to.
August 2014: Comments are welcome, encouraged even but please no rude, lewd, crude or bad language - I will block those who do. If you fave a photograph, please leave a comment, it's only polite.
