I have been taking photographs on the same old faithful SLR Pentex for over 30 years. I can remember the anticipation of going to pick up your film from the drugstore. Early on, the pictures were a testiment to everyday life. The kids growing up, way too many images of pets that just wouldn't hold still, family dinners, vacations ... enough photos to fill at least 20 very large albums. As I have aged and the memory fades, those albums are a treasure trove of memories. I started making my own photo greeting cards and became very selective of subject matter, so when I got my first digital camera it was a God send. I can't make any promises as to how faithful a flickr follower I will become, but I will participate to the best of my ability ... other than just using it as another avenue of communication to my sister Debi.
