I am an Englishman who is now retired, living in Portugal.

From my Teenage years until now photography has always been a passion of mine and recently I decided to share of selection of my images on Flickr. Railways in the UK; Railroads of North America seem to have been the main focus (forgive the pun) over the years, but I also enjoy taking photographs of old cars, trucks and fire engines as well as some aircraft shots. There are also a few wildlife and travel images thrown in, but not that many as there are so many photographers who leave my efforts for dead in these categories. Over the years I have owned numerous cameras including Nikon F4, F5, DX1 and DX2 models, Pentax 645, Contax 645, Hasselblad Xpan and Leica M8, the latter being my all time favorite simply because it negated the need to drag round tons of gear and it also made composition decisions far simpler. Currently a Fuji man.
